About Paul Musgrove - Artist Painting| Decorative Painting and Restoration

Paul Musgrove’s artistic career spans 30 years.
Beginning as an airbrush artist in the 70’s during the custom van craze.
Wild and whimsical art in high gloss lacquer splashed on vans, motorcycles and helmets, “far out man”.

Paul settled down and married Melissa Parker in 1981, a portrait and wedding photographer. Together they raised 2 children in Mt. Holly NJ.

Paul’s career turned to graphic design and printing production as “Musgrove Studios” was formed. Specializing in logo design, illustration, editorial artwork, advertising copywriting and mechanical art production for printing (all pre-computer).

Being handy with tools Paul turned his talents to sign making and architectural renovation and restoration. From design to production, Musgrove Studios signs and Main Street façade improvements changed the face of many towns through out the Rancocas Valley of NJ.

On September 1st. 2001, Paul and family moved to Santa Barbara, California to escape the NJ winters and blistering summers. In the years that followed Melissa Musgrove’s wedding photography business has flourished (melissamusgrove.com) and Paul has acquired many fine references for faux-painting, murals, commissioned art works and fine sign making.

Paul Musgrove Painting and Restoration (PaulMusgrove.com) produces and refurbishes all of the street signs throughout Montecito for the Montecito Association. All of the signs for the Montecito Trails Association and many unique projects for the private residents.

The project that launched Paul’s business in Santa Barbara was the new design and painting of the REMAX Real Estate offices on Coast Village Road in Montecito, where bronze, copper and 23K gold leaf coatings were applied to bring the art deco style façade to life.

A recent commission was an artistic painting of a bird’s eye view of Santa Barbara. It was installed in the foyer of the Liability Insurance Agency, downtown.
Paul enjoys each new project. Whether it’s restoring iron gates, faux-painted tiles and stone on a patio floor, venetian plaster walls for a chef’s kitchen or a fine hand made sign with gold leaf.

Paul Musgrove’s civic duties have included (in NJ), President of the Historical Society, Rotarian, Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge, Member of the Chamber of Commerce, downtown Business Association, Trustee of the Library, Historic Prison Museum and Rancocas Creek Association.

Paul is a member of the downtown Santa Barbara Rotary
